Let me tell you a little about my favorite story called 'The Little Prince' or 'Le Petit Prince' by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.
There was a boy, whose dream is to become an artist. He drew this:
So he went around and ask everyone to interpret what it is. Every grown up he asked said it's a "hat", but he has a different vision to what it is. He grew up not becoming an artist instead, he became exactly like the grown-ups he used to ask questions to.
(Keep reading, I'll tell you what it is in the end.)
Until he met the curious little prince, a kid, but a prince. He fell from the sky, giving the man all the answers to the questions he had long forgotten.
Voila, the little prince.
He was from a tiny little planet far in the galaxies. He traveled around, meeting new people. Some are very strange for him indeed especially "the grown ups" he said.
They share a similar bond, the little prince reminded the man of who he was before he grew up. An artist, a visionary. The man showed the little prince his first drawing, that of a 'hat'. The little prince knew, it was not a hat at all. It was something more than just a hat.
Do you want to know what it is?
It was an elephant inside a boa constrictor.
You don't need reasons to ask questions, you just need a little curiosity and imagination. The more a person can hold onto their inner childhood, the more mature the person gets and believe me it is harder than it sounds.
I am now still trying to become the child I want to become.
This is dedicated to MY Little Prince.
